Why is there a time limit on the Checkout process?
You will typically have 10 minutes to complete your purchase, although time limits may be as short as 5 minutes for high demand events. The time limit for each event is displayed on the Event Detail Page, below the Checkout button. Once you click this button, your tickets are placed on hold and the countdown begins. The time remaining is posted at the top of each page of the Checkout process. If you exceed the time limit, the tickets you have been holding are released for others to purchase. This gives as many people as possible a chance to purchase tickets.
